While working with clay, I developed art making skills. By researching how to make a double pinch pot, I learned how to shape clay into my own design in order to make a container. Working with the clay was somewhat challenging at first, as I haven't used it to craft anything since middle school. Despite not working with clay in a long time, I tried (and succeeded) in creating a final product. Although it could have looked better, I am satisfied with the end result. After creating my pinch pot, I reflected on my work. I felt like I should have refined the edges of my clay die, but then I thought of the edges as a metaphor for the rough activities associated with dice: games and gambling. Both of these things can be somewhat rocky at times, but they may make for good memories later. With this clay die, I expressed my affinity for taking risks and gambling. Creating the pinch pot was a bit of a risk in itself. I risked having to start over multiple times or ending up with an unfinished product, but the reward was creating a piece of artwork to call my own. Overall, my artwork represents one of my many traits.
